BCN DIARY DAY4, + MORE

Hi! Welcome to my barcelona diary, i’ll wright about what i did the 4th day of my trip, and a little of the days following.

Today we got a chance to visit Casa Mila, another one of Gaudi’s creations. This tour was very different from the other house, and although i preffered the other one more, this house was yet again really beautiful!

After Casa Mila we went to have lunch at Flax & Kale, such a nice hotspot! Definetely a recommendation! Flax & Kale sell’s juices from Teresas juicery, (which very much reminded me of the pressed juicery ones. (you see them everywhere on tumblr) which i bought in  America last year. And also gluten free, organic and vegeterian (they do have fish) food. Really nice!

After lunch we wondered around the narrow streets behind La Ramblas, and gave a visit to Casa Guell, my dad just wanted to stop by to take a photo, but when we saw there was no line ( wich is truly rare, be prepared, haha). we decided, why not give this place a visit aswel. Casa Guell is yet again designed by Gaudi, so we kinda had a Gaudi tour 2.0 today. Lot’s of architecture! All the houses are very different, and it was nice to see this one, beautiful again. though i wouldn’t necceserly recommened it, since this house was my least favourite of all the Gaudi stuff i’ve seen these past days.

We went to have a drink on the Placa Reial i really love this place, the houses and palmtrees are so lovely, i can sit here for ages! It’s practically surrounded by restaurants, so where you go doesn’t make a huge difference, especially not if you, like us, just come to sit and have a drink. We had one at ‘Ocaña’ since this place looked the most appealing to me. I liked the bold letters.

We had dinner at Bar Lobo, i found this place on pinterest, and had planned it for a lunchspot for the next day, but on friday we would be going to Montserrat, and we weren’t sure if we would make it. So we just had dinner here! It isn’t a very local dinner place, since it closes at 10pm, but they had some amazing tapas! The second best i had so far (Bar del pla, day 1 was my fave). I can recommend you the tuna with quacomole, fried eggplants with honey and the fried asperges. Really special and really good!

That was all for my official last day in the city barcelona itself, at day 5 we rent a car and drove to Montesserat, spend the day hiking and looking around.

The following days, (i went 9days) we drove through cities and villages close to Barcelona, for exemple we went to Andorra (tax free shopping) and Vic (really lovely city) but in general just exploring the surroundings. Here you’ll have a few photo’s about these last days.

( best ice cream ever, dark chocolate orange, can we have dark chocolate in holland aswell, please?)

I didn’t wanted to get into detail to much, since I am a little behind time schedule and cause I am currently in Curaçao, i’ll wright about this soon aswell! I hope you enjoyed this little serie, or maybe got a bit of inspiration out of it.

Thanks for reading, and i’ll get back to you soon!

Hi Loves!
This (read: €13) pencil skirt, is my life, i love it so much. It’s really nice body flattering and just a simple trow on, which still makes you look chic.

Especially in combination with this blouse. Somehow i found myself matching the colourful-mosaic designs from gaudi today. But ohwell, this top is great for hot weather, since the fabric is silk and nature-fabrics usually don’t make you feel so sweaty.  I really like this combination. What do you think?

Speak to you soon!

BCN Diary day 2: Gaudi Tour

Hi Loves! Today day 2, of my short trip to Barcelona.

This morning i enjoyed breakfast in my hotel, we woke up early cause we had tickets for park Guell at 9:30. The park was really gorgeous, a must-see if you come to Barcelona.

After Parc Guell we went to casa Battol, you get an Audio-tour with a tablet which shows a visual house that comes to life, really cool. Also a very beautiful house.

After visiting two of Gaudi’s works, we went to have lunch. I found a place called Brunch & Cake, and so we went here and had a really delicious lunch! This is the kind of place i would visit all the time if i was a citizen of Barcelona. I had a Mango and chicken salad with the complete vitamine smoothie.

We also planned to go to Casa Mila today, but we weren’t going to make it, since we had tickets for Sagrada Familia at 5 o’clock. So after luch we took the underground and made our way to the extremly crouded but suprisingly beautiful catherdral. I can’t even imagine how this church will look when it’s completely finished. I can understand the hype!

For dinner we ate at Intertapas, the tapas was good, but not really impressive. We didn’t really know where to eat, and my phone who contained a list of restaurants was dead. So we found this place which was close to Sagrada Famillia.
TIP: make a reservation for your tickets at both Park Guell, Sagrada famillia and Casa Battol, the waiting lines are enormous and it’s definetly not fun to stand for a hour in this heat. (i know so, we had to wait for casa barttol.)
That was all for today, untill next time!
