Dressing up

Recently I got this new chic dress, and I love it. I mean, how could I not?  When in doubt, a LBD is always a good idea!

This dress is due to the material and lace details quite a fancy dress, which is great for those evenings when I am going out to dinner. I’ll just add this pair of heels, and my little watermelon pink MK bag to add some colour. In fact, tonight I’ll be heading out in this exact outfit for my dad’s birthday dinner. Great thing is: it’s really comfy as well.

The pictures I took today have all been taken in the backyard of my new home, I’ll give you an update very soon about how my life in Curacao has been these last months.

If you’d like to shop the dress I wore today you can use this link: ?http://www.shein.com/Black-V-Neck-With-Lace-Dress-p-233181-cat-1727.html

I’ll speak to you soon!

Hi babes!
I’m pretty sure every girl knows that the LBD is a essential. Now this one might not be so ‘little’ but a nice black dress is always welcome! I got this one at Monki and I’m obsessed. The turtleneck and slip give it a bit of a ‘sexy’ touch, but combined with some sneakers you can also wear it pretty casual.

Fall outfit inspiration

I love Fall outfits, simply cause I love layering, long coats, sweathers, the cozyness and colours and much more. Since I’ve been so busy lately I decided to create some outfits that I would wear this fall and to get some inspiration off.
Since I was able to choose out off an entire bunch of clothes, I did add some more expensive items (just the absolute to die for designer bags). But I mostly sticked to shops I personally always like to shop!

Hi loves,
It’s been a while, but i’m back to blogging! I just got back from a 5day (school)trip to Paris, and had a blast. I love Paris so much, the buildings, desserts, and the language, I find it all gorgeous.

Today is a little outfit post, this isn’t a very spectacular outfit, but great for days you want to be comfortable and still look a bit put together. I’ve had this sweatshirt for about a year now and i’m still in love with it. It was so comfortable during the 7hour busride, but also classy enough to step out into the lovely Paris with. My friend was kind enough to take some random pictures of me before heading out to dinner, so here they are. You’ll see more pictures in a upcoming blogpost soon!

Have a nice day!

Dressing up | a day in Amsterdam

Dress: Marc by Marc Jacobs // bag: H&M // heels: Omoda // watch: Daniel Wellington // sunglasses: Prada
Hi Loves,
Last week, while I was still school-free, I went to visit Amsterdam with one of my best friends. We shot a few photo’s of our outfit’s so we could make outfit posts. (may’s blog is coming soon!)
Practicully all we did was stumbling a bit through the city, go inside a few shops, have lunch and go home, but it was a blast. I always love days like these, and Amsterdam, I can’t wait to go and study in this city in a few years.

I was wearing this dress I actually got for a wedding, now i know this isn’t a very ‘weddingly-like’ dress, haha. But after trying on a lot of ted baker/karen Millen dresses, I finally found one that I could wear multiple times, then just one. I personally love this dress cause it looks chic but it’s also really comfortable.
Great thing was, I wasn’t the only person who liked it. I got multiple compliments, and when May and I visited the Bijenkorf (a very luxurious shop) the people for once gave us samples, and smiled at me when i was touching a Givency Bag, such a nice thing to expierience, me and May felt really fabulous, haha.

We had lunch at Sla, which is a dutch salade bar, were you can put together your own salade, it was so delicous! And healthy aswell ofcourse, I’ll definetly visit this place again!

Well to anyone who, as me, has started school again. Good luck!!

Thanks for reading!

I simply love this, the pictures, the sign in general. It remindes me of the Hollywood sign (obviously) I saw last year, but sadly couldn’t get so close to.
Yes, this blogposts means I am back in the Netherlands, home, for now at least. It’s stating to look like I’ll be moving in Januari…. How i feel about this? Mmm although I’ll have to miss my friends, moving to a island in the caribieën does sound appealing. It opens this entire new chapter I never thaught of possible. Well, nothing is for sure yet, so I’ll just end that here.

Today is a sort of outfit post, kind of randomly, I had planned all these outfits and didn’t end up taking pictures of one of them. It just wasn’t on my mind. This outfit is simple, but kinda describes me, simple black & white and a pop of pink, I match the flamingo’s, haha. Gotta love those fluffy pink birds.

If I don’t upload i miss it, and I feel like there is so much I want to write to you guys about. School is about to start, but that would be the last thing on my mind, ugh. Well what more to say, just a little update. I’ll make a few other posts soon, I wrote them back in Curacao but didn’t wanted to upload them without pictures, so they’ll be up soon. They are more personal, tho, a new categorie I’ll call “inspiration” so stay tuned!

Thanks for reading babes!

BCN DIARY DAY4, + MORE

Hi! Welcome to my barcelona diary, i’ll wright about what i did the 4th day of my trip, and a little of the days following.

Today we got a chance to visit Casa Mila, another one of Gaudi’s creations. This tour was very different from the other house, and although i preffered the other one more, this house was yet again really beautiful!

After Casa Mila we went to have lunch at Flax & Kale, such a nice hotspot! Definetely a recommendation! Flax & Kale sell’s juices from Teresas juicery, (which very much reminded me of the pressed juicery ones. (you see them everywhere on tumblr) which i bought in  America last year. And also gluten free, organic and vegeterian (they do have fish) food. Really nice!

After lunch we wondered around the narrow streets behind La Ramblas, and gave a visit to Casa Guell, my dad just wanted to stop by to take a photo, but when we saw there was no line ( wich is truly rare, be prepared, haha). we decided, why not give this place a visit aswel. Casa Guell is yet again designed by Gaudi, so we kinda had a Gaudi tour 2.0 today. Lot’s of architecture! All the houses are very different, and it was nice to see this one, beautiful again. though i wouldn’t necceserly recommened it, since this house was my least favourite of all the Gaudi stuff i’ve seen these past days.

We went to have a drink on the Placa Reial i really love this place, the houses and palmtrees are so lovely, i can sit here for ages! It’s practically surrounded by restaurants, so where you go doesn’t make a huge difference, especially not if you, like us, just come to sit and have a drink. We had one at ‘Ocaña’ since this place looked the most appealing to me. I liked the bold letters.

We had dinner at Bar Lobo, i found this place on pinterest, and had planned it for a lunchspot for the next day, but on friday we would be going to Montserrat, and we weren’t sure if we would make it. So we just had dinner here! It isn’t a very local dinner place, since it closes at 10pm, but they had some amazing tapas! The second best i had so far (Bar del pla, day 1 was my fave). I can recommend you the tuna with quacomole, fried eggplants with honey and the fried asperges. Really special and really good!

That was all for my official last day in the city barcelona itself, at day 5 we rent a car and drove to Montesserat, spend the day hiking and looking around.

The following days, (i went 9days) we drove through cities and villages close to Barcelona, for exemple we went to Andorra (tax free shopping) and Vic (really lovely city) but in general just exploring the surroundings. Here you’ll have a few photo’s about these last days.

( best ice cream ever, dark chocolate orange, can we have dark chocolate in holland aswell, please?)

I didn’t wanted to get into detail to much, since I am a little behind time schedule and cause I am currently in Curaçao, i’ll wright about this soon aswell! I hope you enjoyed this little serie, or maybe got a bit of inspiration out of it.

Thanks for reading, and i’ll get back to you soon!

BCN diary day3: from the mountain to the sea.

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my Barcelona diary.

This morning we took the underground to Museum d’art, where also the magic fountain is. We walked up the stairs, to get a beautiful view of the city, it was really nice, and so was the magic fountain aswel! Although we didn’t see it at night.

After viewing the city from above, we went to  the park close by, we walked further up the mountain, where you have yet again wonderful views!

At this point we were high in the mountains, and we found one other BCN tourist attraction. And so, we went from the top of the rock to Barceloneta, also known as the beach!

Once in Barceloneta it was around lunchtime, we ate at one of those beach lunchspots, and i had a tuna salad and ‘detox’ smoothie. It was pretty good, but as usual at beach restaurants, overpriced and noisy though.

After lunch we stumbled over the boulevard  at the beach. It was extremely hot and i was dying to take a swim, but the beach was crazy crouwded and laying in the hot sand between sweaty tourists didn’t look very atractive, though it would have been nice to take a swim or have one beach day, it’s a lot more relaxed!  So we adventually went back to the centure of the city. We also came across a park with an amazing fountain.

We ate at Parellada we had a really delicous dinner, just really good quality food and a very lovely place to sit. Also when you finished the first dish, it takes about less then 5minutes before they already bring you your next dish. For this place definetely make a reservation, good thing is; you can make it at the day itself. We went here at 19:00, but the place was closed and would open at 20:30, so we made a reservation for 20:30. Quite late to have dinner, but once you’re in the city you’ll notice that everybody eat’s around 10pm, and with the hot weather this isn’t always too bad.

After dinner we headed back to our hotel, to enjoy a bit of wifi and fall asleep.
That was all for today, untill next time!

Hi Loves!
This (read: €13) pencil skirt, is my life, i love it so much. It’s really nice body flattering and just a simple trow on, which still makes you look chic.

Especially in combination with this blouse. Somehow i found myself matching the colourful-mosaic designs from gaudi today. But ohwell, this top is great for hot weather, since the fabric is silk and nature-fabrics usually don’t make you feel so sweaty.  I really like this combination. What do you think?

Speak to you soon!
